MATREX: 88 Projectors Creating an Immersive Show Space
A 2-year project — from concept to opening — that combined 88 Panasonic projectors and 22 SpinetiX HMP200 players into one of the most ambitious immersive show spaces in an innovation center. Designed by architect Bernaskoni with acoustics by Müller-BBM.

Equipment Breakdown
The installation started with 22 units and scaled to 88 by 2020. The core equipment:
- ▸ 22 SpinetiX HMP200 players — each driving a cluster of projectors, synchronized for seamless projection mapping across walls, ceilings, and floors
- ▸ 22+ Panasonic PT-RZ670EL projectors — 6,200 lumens DLP projectors chosen for their reliability and color accuracy; scaled to 88 total units
- ▸ Acoustic design by Müller-BBM — Germany's premier acoustics consultancy ensured the immersive experience extended beyond visuals to spatial sound
